Forest almsgiving to Monks to pray for the country’s peace and prosperity

In Buddhism, the debt of gratitude to the country belongs to the four great debts of gratitude that everyone should remember. Each of us needs to repay our gratitude to the country and society by doing good deeds.

On the occasion of monks beginning their monsoon season retreat, having the approval of Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh, lay Buddhists of Ba Vang Pagoda joyfully prepare food to offer to the monks and then dedicate all the merit to the peace and prosperity of the country.

Let’s watch the video to experience the practice of almsgiving taking place in the meditation forest of Ba Vang Pagoda.

Lay supporters provide gifts of material requisites for the monastics, while the monastics provide their supporters with the gift of teachings.

I hold on the idea that if we dedicate all merits from almsgiving to our country, we can protect it.

Should we have the traditional alms bowl preservation? I am afraid that we’ll lose this image in 50 years later.
