Great Monks of Ba Vang Pagoda Liberating Living Beings Praying for a Peaceful World
Quang Ninh, Vietnam – Great Monks and about nearly 40 Buddhists of Ba Vang Pagoda under the guidance of Thầy Thích Trúc Thái Minh had a trip to Ha Long Bay, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh, Vietnam on 27 January, Year of the Pig (03 March, 2019) liberating living beings into ocean ending the annual program of the New Years Medicine Buddha Ritual, just two days before the Ritual ends.
The Medicine Buddha Ritual at the beginning of every lunar new year starts from the 8th day of the lunar January to the end of the month at Ba Vang Pagoda. Medicine Buddha is the King of Medicine Master that can rescue all sentient beings from sufferings, especially illness and death. And all Buddhas taught that, if we want to eradicate sufferings, there is no other way than practice and doing good deeds such as making offerings to The Three Jewels, helping the poor and the sick, liberating living beings, cultivating the mind of compassion and loving-kindness. Those are the teachings of Buddhas.
Obeying Buddhas teachings, Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh made His disciples practise one of those methods above – liberating more than 10 types of sea creatures to the ocean, in the hope to pray for a peaceful and a better world to finish the Ritual. Thay also emphasised that apart from that the creatures lives were saved, they also had the chance to form the cause to the Three Jewels for future salvation.
