A night of lanterns on Vesak Day 2020 at Ba Vang Pagoda

Once in hundreds of millions of years, the Buddha was born in this world for the welfare and happiness of devas and human beings. An impressive night of lanterns at Ba Vang Pagoda in Vietnam is held to commemorate the momentous birthday of the Supremely Enlightened One. Thay Thich Truc Thai Minh—the Abbot and Great Monks perform rituals of passing lanterns and circumambulating the Buddha’s birth statue to show their gratitude to the Blessed One.
